'The Defamation Experience' coming to Penn State Harrisburg on Oct. 11

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Criminal Justice Club and the Diversity and Educational Equity Committee at Penn State Harrisburg will host "The Defamation Experience” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the Student Enrichment Center on campus. Food will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

"The Defamation Experience” is a riveting courtroom drama that explores the issues of race, class, religion, gender and the law with a twist: The audience is the jury. Combined with an audience deliberation and a facilitated discussion, this program is a unique opportunity for the campus community to engage in civil discourse about the most pressing social issues.

"The Defamation Experience” has received nationwide acclaim as diversity training at its best. Countless diversity experts are calling it one of the most relevant and compelling programs they have ever scheduled. The program has reached approximately 75,000 people through more than 400 performances nationwide.

The event is free and open to the public. For tickets, visit Eventbrite. For additional information, contact Jennifer L. Smith at jlo191@psu.edu.
