Sophomore Jimmy Gillespie (Glen Mills, Pennsylvania/Garnet Valley) is averaging a team-best 78.0 per round this season for the Lions, including shooting a 75 to win the individual title at the Lycoming College Invitational on Monday, Sept. 24.

Junior goalkeeper Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, Pennsylvania/Palmyra) moved into first place on the Penn State Altoona men’s soccer program’s all-time saves list during the Lions’ win over Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Yaw holds the top spot with 142 career saves and counting.

Through the Lady Lions’ first 14 matches of the season, senior outside hitter Kelsey Bristol (Troy, Pennsylvania/Troy) ranks fifth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in kills per set (2.76), while fellow senior outside hitter Kaitlin Cassaday (Bel Air, Maryland/Bel Air) is second in the AMCC in service aces per set (0.52).
