Penn State Fayette professor publishes textbook on organized crime

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Donald R. Liddick Jr., associate professor of administration of justice at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, has published the textbook "Organized Crime: The Essentials" with Cognella Academic Publishing.

“The text is an affordable, cutting-edge synthesis of the organized crime problem in the United States and around the world,” said Liddick.

The 322-page textbook is intended for use in undergraduate curricula in criminology and organized crime.

Liddick earned his doctorate from Penn State in 1995. He has since served as an assistant professor and associate professor of criminal justice at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg and Penn State Fayette. Liddick has published dozens of research articles and six scholarly monographs, mostly on the topic of organized crime. "Organized Crime: The Essentials" is his seventh published book and his first textbook.
