UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The 2018-19 Penn State swimming and diving schedule released Thursday includes a pair of home meets, with the home opener starting Homecoming weekend.
The Nittany Lions will debut Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in McCoy Natatorium with their annual Blue-White meet. They will open their season at Virginia, Saturday, Oct. 6.
SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Nittany Lions' first home meet of the season is set for Friday, Oct. 12. Penn State will take on George Washington in McCoy Natatorium at 1 p.m.
- The second home meet and Senior Day will take place Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m.
- Penn State will face a Big Ten foe early in the season, as they will compete against Ohio State in double duals hosted by Virginia Tech, Oct. 16-17.
- The B1G/ACC challenge is Nov. 10-11 at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center at Purdue University. At least two males and two females from each Big Ten institution will be designated to compete against a similarly selected ACC team.
- The Nittany Lions round out the fall portion of their schedule in Tennessee for the Tennessee Invitational on Nov. 29- Dec. 1.
- The regular season will end in Pennsylvania for Penn State when they face Villanova on the road on Friday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m.
- The Nittany Lion women join other Big Ten rivals in Indiana for the Big Ten Championships, Feb. 20-23, while the men will head to Iowa City, Iowa, Feb. 27-Mar. 2.
- Navy will host the Zone A Diving Regionals Mar. 11-13.
- The post-season continues a month later at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, with the women competing Mar. 20-23 and the men Mar. 27-30.
