Record-setting research: Penn State’s research expenditures have reached $927 million, a record high for the second consecutive year.

Flu vaccine clinics: Flu season is quickly approaching, and in preparation, University Health Services will be offering student flu vaccine clinics on campus.

National LGBTQ commission: Brian Patchcoski, the director of Penn State's LGBTQA Student Resource Center, has been chosen as a member of the nation's only Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.

Opioid research: Penn State’s Social Science Research Institute, in collaboration with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute has awarded over $200,000 in funding to support 10 new interdisciplinary teams of Penn State researchers whose work is aimed at combating the opioid epidemic.

Staying safe at Penn State: For many Penn State students, the start of the fall semester doesn’t just mark the start of classes. It’s also the first time that many are living on their own, and with that independence comes the need for personal responsibility for one’s safety and security.

Counterfeit tickets: Nittany Lion football fans are being advised by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics to be cautious of counterfeit tickets, including the print-at-home format and illegally reproduced single-game tickets purchased from nonauthorized sources, for the upcoming Ohio State game.
