Penn State Fayette to host third-annual Benefit Fayette for student scholarships

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, will host the third-annual Benefit Fayette fundraiser event at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Community Center on campus.

The evening’s theme is “Lights, Color, Action,” featuring a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, musical performances by Ukulangley and the Feel Good Band, and a never-before-seen performance from Lord Baltimore’s Light Up Circus, a four-person troupe combining acrobatics, aerial, juggling, unicycling, hula hooping and contortion. An exclusive, Baltimore-themed dinner will be provided by the Historic Stone House.

Last year’s Benefit Fayette yielded contributions over $158,000 for endowed and non-endowed student scholarship funds at Penn State Fayette.

“Ninety percent of our students qualify for financial aid, and nearly half of our students are the first generation in their families to attend college,” said Lori Omatick, director of development and chair of the planning committee. “One-hundred percent of the net proceeds raised will be directed toward much-needed student aid.”

Faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to attend. The ticket price is $100 per guest. Cocktail attire is recommended. Call 724-430-4190 to RSVP by Sept. 28.
