UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With all its fall sports teams underway and the winter sports season quickly approaching, Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is launching a new initiative, “Happy Valley Hospitality,” promoting positivity on game days and every day.

“Penn State has the nation’s best fans, bringing tremendous passion, hospitality and loyalty to all our venues and events,” said Deputy Director of Athletics Phil Esten. “We’d like to provide all our students, alumni and fans a platform to continue welcoming our guests, exhibit Penn State Pride and promote Happy Valley Hospitality wherever they are.”

Penn State Athletics will support Happy Valley Hospitality through messages that Nittany Lion fans already embody and embrace, including “Be Loud,” “Be Proud,” “Show Respect” and “Enjoy the Game.” The messages will be shared on various platforms, including social media, facility videoboards, gate and public address announcements.

Students, alumni and fans can view additional ways to continue to “Promote Positivity” during the weeks and months to come by following Penn State Athletics’ social channels or the Nittany Lions’ website, GoPSUsports.com.

Penn State offers one of the nation’s most broad-based and successful athletic programs, embodying comprehensive excellence with 800 student-athletes across 31 varsity programs (16 men’s, 15 women’s).
