UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Arriving on Penn State’s campus can be an overwhelming experience for many students. The first few weeks of campus can be especially daunting and hard to navigate for students within the LGBTQA community.

To help students find their way, the LGBTQA Student Resource Center is kicking off the school year with its annual Welcome Reception. The event will have representatives from various student organizations, campus departments and community resources who can aid LGBTQA students and their allies in navigating campus and the State College community.

The doors will open for the 2017 LGBTQ Welcome Receptionat 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Heritage Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center. Music, food, and connecting with community will highlight the evening.

The LGBTQ Welcome Reception is free and open to the public. To find out more information regarding which resources will be present, please visit the Welcome Reception Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/280870452727203/
