UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Campus Recreation has announced the return of Friday Night Challenge, a weekly series of fun and competitive team-building activities, beginning this Friday, Aug. 31.

On-campus students are invited to compete in challenges, including tailgate games, archery tag, glow-in-the-dark tennis, rock climbing, bouldering and bubble soccer. Prizes will be given away on a weekly basis.

The Friday Night Challenge series gives students a competitive outlet, creates opportunities to meet new people, and allows participants to become familiar with Campus Recreation offerings.

"It's a great opportunity to get out and try new and exciting events with your new Penn State friends. Come swim, play bubble soccer, climb the wall, play dodgeball, or participate in any of the other awesome activities Campus Recreation has in store," said Nick Brigati, assistant director of campus recreation for competitive sports.

The first Friday Night Challenge is “Swim or Dye” and will be hosted from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the outdoor pool at the McCoy Natatorium. This free pool party will include tailgate games, tye-dye, snow-cones, and floating unicorns. No prior registration is necessary for this event.

More details and information about future Friday Night Challenge events can be found at the official Campus Recreation Facebook page.
