Call for staff spotlights
Are you a College of the Liberal Arts staff member with a fun story to tell? Have you recently traveled abroad on a service trip? Do you have a unique hobby outside of the workplace? We are working on putting together monthly spotlight stories on various staff members from across the college. If you know of someone who would make for an interesting staff spotlight, or would like to submit yourself, email Maria Canales at mec5594@psu.edu.
You Rock! Awards
Congratulations to our August You Rock! Award winner: Mark Williams. Williams, who is assistant coordinator of grants and contracts in the college, was nominated by Paola Dussias, professor of Spanish, linguistics and psychology, for providing outstanding support to Dussias' students during their grant submission process. Submit your news
We are asking staff to submit their own content, such as information about upcoming college or department events, development opportunities for staff, and networking events. We’re also looking for information about each department, so feel free to submit interesting things about your department that makes it unique within the University. You can submit your information on the Staff Advisory Committee’s website at http://la.psu.edu/staffadvisorycommittee.
The mission of the Staff Advisory Committee is to represent the interests of the staff to the dean of the college, in addition to fostering a sense of community among staff. Those interested in becoming a member can email Laura Reddington Moser at lcr129@psu.edu.
