Save the date for second annual WE ARE Lehigh Valley Homecoming Week

Penn State Lehigh Valley (PSU-LV) alumni, students and community are invited to campus to celebrate their Penn State pride during the second annual WE ARE Lehigh Valley Homecoming Week. Events will be taking place around the Lehigh Valley during the week of Sept. 17.

Constitution Day Trivia

THON Pizza Party: Alumni who were involved with THON in any capacity at any campus are invited for pizza and conversation with this year’s PSU-LV THON Committee.  We will focus on how alumni and students can work together “for the kids!”  RSVP by Friday, Sept. 14 to lvalumni@psu.edu

Tuesday, Sept. 18

PSU-LV Women's Soccer Game, 4 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley

Welcome Back Wine and Cheese Reception, 5-7 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley, room 135: Kick off Homecoming week with a wine and cheese reception with alumni, faculty and staff. PSU-LV alumni, come reconnect with faculty and staff members! PSU alumni from other campuses, this is your chance to come visit PSU-LV campus! Sponsored by the Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society. Registration is required.

PSU-LV Women's Volleyball Game, 7 p.m., William Allen High School: Event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Carlos Andres Gomez Lecture and Lunch, 12:15 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley, room 135: Mr. Gomez is an award-winning poet, speaker, actor, and writer from New York City. He is the author of the coming-of-age memoir Man Up: Reimagining Modern Manhood. 

Thursday, Sept. 20

Faculty, Staff, and Student Backyard Olympics, 12:15 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley

Friday, Sept. 21

Career Strategies Lunch and Learn, noon, Penn State Lehigh Valley, room 135: Pick up some practical tips, meet our Career Strategies staff, and learn about programs created especially for alumni! Registration is required.

Penn State Night in Southside Bethlehem, 5-8 p.m., Southside Arts District, Mechanic and Webster Streets: Join other Penn Staters for a tailgate party, music, and shopping at participating Southside shops!  Visit our welcome table at Mechanic and Webster streets to pick up your passport to savings and fun. Burgers and beer by Molly’s will be available for purchase; no registration required. This event is free and open to the public.

Penn State vs. Illinois football game, 9 p.m., ArtsQuest - Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks: Can’t make it to Illinois for the big game? No problem! Gather your friends and family to watch the Nittany Lions take on the Fighting Illini on the big screen at Levitt Pavilion. Refreshments available for purchase; no registration required. This event is free and open to the public.

Saturday, Sept. 22

PSU-LV Women's Soccer Game, 2 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley: Free and open to the public. 

PSU-LV Men's Soccer Game, 4 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley: Free and open to the public. 

Outdoor Movie Night, Approximately 8 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley: Bring a blanket to enjoy a movie under the stars! This event is free and open to the public and will begin at dusk. Nittany Lion face painting will be available for all lion cubs. Arrive early!

Sunday, Sept. 23

Gallery Gala, 1 p.m., Penn State Lehigh Valley - Ronald K. De Long Gallery: Come celebrate Latin America and the work of Rigo Peralta with tropical refreshments, dancing, gallery talk and exhibit. Registration is required.
