UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A new year has started in Happy Valley; come celebrate it with the Blue & White Society, one of the largest active student organizations on campus, at BASH.

BASH will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center, near the duck pond on the University Park campus.

All University Park students, new and returning, are invited to attend the luau-themed event to enjoy free food from Carvers Deli and Barbecue, games, and live performances by PSUkulele, the Penn State ukulele club.

Blue & White Society members can pick up their limited-edition spirit scarf at the event, and learn how to get involved with the organization’s committees and events throughout the year. Students who join at BASH can pick up the scarf on-site that day.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with chapters at campuses across the Commonwealth. With more than 6,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year, such as "PS I heart U Week" and BASH, while also participating in events such as THON and Homecoming.
