Call for staff spotlights

Are you a College of the Liberal Arts staff member with a fun story to tell? Have you recently traveled abroad on a service trip? Do you have a unique hobby outside of the workplace? We are working on putting together monthly spotlight stories on various staff members from across the college. If you know of someone who would make for an interesting staff spotlight, or would like to submit yourself, email Maria Canales at mec5594@psu.edu.

Liberal Arts going head-to-head with the College of Arts and Architecture in the Summer Blood Drive Challenge

Date: Tuesday, July 24
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: HUB, Flex Theater

The summer months are among the most challenging times of the year for blood and platelet donations, and the American Red Cross is now facing an emergency blood shortage. With fewer and fewer donors, all eligible individuals are being called on to roll up their sleeve.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code PSU under "Find a Blood Drive" at the top of the page.

Jimmy Johns will be donating subs, and all donors will receive a free T-shirt. The winning college and department also will receive a trophy and bragging rights for the next year. For additional information, contact Laura Reddington Moser at lcr129@psu.ed
