Event features information on health care programs

Penn State Hazleton will host two information sessions about the health care program offerings at the campus for those interested in learning more about the education the campus provides in a variety of health care fields.

The sessions will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, and from 11 a.m to noon Monday, July 30, in the Slusser/Bayzick Building and will provide information about the nurse aide, practical nursing, clinical medical assistant, electrocardiograph (EKG) technician and phlebotomy technician programs at Penn State Hazleton. Representatives from Penn State Hazleton’s Department of Continuing Education will share details about entrance requirements, course availability, registration process, required courses, cost and payment options and scheduling.

Director of Continuing Education Debra Conway said, “The sessions are an ideal way to learn more about beginning or advancing a career in the medical field and how Penn State Hazleton can provide the right education along that path.”

Light refreshments will be served during the sessions. There is no cost for the sessions, but those who plan to attend or who would like more information should contact Staci Hunsinger at 570-450-3110 or skh42@psu.edu or Amanda Gallagher at 570-450-3541 or aff5073@psu.edu.
