Rob Notari, a system administrator in the campus' Information Technology Department, has been named the Penn State Scranton Employee of the Month for July 2018.
Notari, a Penn State alumnus who attended the Scranton campus, has been employed at Penn State Scranton since 1995.
He was nominated by IT Director Marilee Mulvey, who said:
"His technical expertise directly results in success for projects like the phone upgrade and Office 365. His willingness to work weekends, evenings and early mornings as needed, so that these projects do not disrupt the rest of the campus community, goes above and beyond. His dedication to providing a safe technical environment for our technology is also greatly appreciated.”
The Employee of the Month recognition was started earlier this year by Chancellor Marwan Wafa, as a way of distinguishing staff members who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Scranton.
