UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Student Farm at Penn State will mark the longest day of the year with a Summer Solstice Celebration from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, featuring live music, fresh food and good company.

The State College-based Taste Buds Kitchen food truck will be on the farm selling fresh and flavorful food. Guests also are welcome to bring a picnic dinner. Hometime, a local band, will provide the musical entertainment. Guests are invited to engage with other farm-goers, take a tour of the farm, visit the farm's community partners’ tables, or just relax and enjoy the music.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests are advised to bring blankets or lawn chairs and wear sturdy shoes. The farm is asking that people not bring pets to ensure the food safety of the produce grown on the farm. In the event of inclement weather, check the Student Farm Facebook page for updates.

This is the second Summer Solstice Celebration hosted by the Student Farm. More than 200 people attend last year's inaugural celebration.
