Artificial Intelligence Executive Management Forum held at Wilkes-Barre May 23

LEHMAN, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education held their Spring Executive Management Series: “Automation in Business: Driving Competitive Advantage, Part 1: Key Factors & Measuring ROI,” on Wednesday, May 23, at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre.  

During this Executive Management Forum, Daren Coudriet, director, EdTech Network and Entrepreneur in Residence at Penn State; Alex Fried, senior purchasing manager for global energy purchases at Procter & Gamble; and Michael McHale, chief executive officer at Production System Automation, provided an overview of technologies driving business automation — including actual installed examples — and the factors that should be considered in both financial analysis and human resources.

"Automation in Business: Driving Competitive Advantage, Part 2: Why AI is Key to Business Survival,” will be scheduled for Fall 2018. In this session, some basic concepts of AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning will be introduced and business owners will be provided some guiding principles around the use of AI in their businesses.
