UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — After an investigation by the State College Police Department, an alleged armed robbery that was reported to have occurred Tuesday evening, April 24, at Sunset Park in State College Borough has proven to be a false report.
A Timely Warning was issued by Penn State University Police and Public Safety shortly after the report was made to alert the campus community of the incident, and a follow-up Timely Warning was issued Wednesday morning to inform the University community that the report was false.
