Dates announced for summer 2018 student parking registration

April 23, 2018

Student parking registration for summer 2018 will be available exclusively online on the following dates:

- Tuesday, May 1 (Maymester, Summer Session I, or all sessions)

- Sunday, June 24 (Summer Session II only)

All students, regardless of semester standing, are eligible to register for summer parking.

REQUIREMENTS

- Active Penn State ID and Access account

- License plate(s) information (vehicles must be owned by the student or a member of the student's immediate family)

GENERAL REGISTRATION

Upon completion of the registration, students print a temporary permit to display on their dashboard for immediate parking. Students may return to their account to print the permit if a printer is not available when completing the registration.

All summer student parking permits must be picked up in person at the Parking Office, located at 1 Eisenhower Parking Deck. The office is open on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and students must show their Penn State ID to receive the permit. Upon receipt, the printable temporary permit must be discarded and the permanent permit displayed on the rear view mirror of the vehicle.

Any students encountering issues while registering online are urged to avoid double clicking or using the back button, as these actions may result in errors with your transaction. If issues arise while attempting to complete the registration, please exit the site and contact the Parking Office for assistance.

Information regarding available permit options can be found via the links below:

PERMIT UPGRADES

Students eligible for upgrades, such as select graduate assistants, student athletes and those with a state-issued Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) placard, must visit the Parking Office to obtain an upgraded permit. General student parking registration must be completed online prior to applying for any upgrades. Students registering for short-term, one-day or motorcycle-only permits must also register at the Parking Office.

ENTERPRISE CARSHARE AND ZIMRIDE

Before deciding to bring a vehicle to campus, students are encouraged to explore the University's alternative transportation options. Enterprise CarShare provides on-campus vehicles available for rent by the hour or day, while Zimride is a private Penn State network that matches those looking for a ride with those willing to share theirs.
