LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, inducted 43 students into Pi Sigma Phi, the campus honor society, in a ceremony attended by friends and family on April 16.

Eligible students earned a grade-point average of at least 3.5 and completed at least 30 credits of coursework. Founded in 1987, Pi Sigma Phi promotes and encourages “higher standards of learning and high scholastic attainment.”

“It takes more than the mere ability to excel to be inducted,” said Danielle Mitchell, associate professor of English and associate chief academic officer. “It takes commitment, willingness to work hard, and the drive to do it over and over. We celebrate that academic spirit today.”
