As an administrative support assistant for the Professional Personnel Development Center (PPDC), Thompson provides support to the center's director, associate director and faculty. In this role, she oversees cash deposits and ensures that expenditures of all budgets are accurate. This includes funding from state Department of Education and Department of Correction grants, and University miscellaneous general research funds and general funds. She also prepares and processes budget forms and maintains various center budgets. Thompson's duties also include reconciling purchasing card forms, preparing year-end fiscal reports, and assisting with the preparation of grant applications and revisions. She assists with the entry of human resource forms for new and existing employees, processing wage payroll and honorariums, and expedites faculty and staff travel reservations and reimbursements. She also serves as the PPDC's facilities coordinator and lead point-of-contact for technical equipment inquiries.
