HERSHEY, Pa. — CMN Hospitals presented Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Penn State Children’s Hospital with two national awards at its annual conference in Orlando, Florida, this month. For the 10th straight year, the CMN program was awarded the highest fundraising award ($4,667,629) and the highest fundraising per capita award ($2.57) for CMN Hospitals serving a population of between 1 million and 3 million. Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than $65 million to support life-saving equipment, family-centered programs and research at Penn State Children’s Hospital since 1984.
“These awards would not be possible without the generous support of thousands of individuals, businesses and community groups,” said Danielle Sunday, director of Children’s Miracle Network. “Together, we fund the margins of excellence at our children’s hospital and provide the best possible care to sick and injured children in our community.”
In addition, Jere Gish, anchor and reporter for WGAL-TV8, was presented with the 2017 “Television Person of the Year” award by CMN Hospitals for his tremendous support of Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Children’s Hospital. Gish hosts the annual CMN Telethon, gala, Miracle Party and Hershey Half Marathon and serves on the CMN Hershey advisory board.
