More than three dozen faculty members and graduate students in the Penn State College of Education are presenting at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) conference, scheduled for March 25-29 in Mexico City, Mexico.
The theme of CIES 2018, "Re-mapping Global Education," aims to shift the traditional starting point of research to a greater extent toward the global South, instead of the traditional starting point of the global North. According to the conference website, the shift not only enables South-North dialogue, but also enhances North-South dialogue and the expansion of South-South collaboration.
Penn State students and faculty may attend a reception, co-sponsored with SUNY-Albany, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in the Dona Adelita room of the Hilton Reforma in Mexico City.
