UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beginning Dec. 22, a sidewalk closure outside the East Parking Deck will create a detour for those accessing the Food Science Building and the Berkey Creamery. Fencing will be in place marking the construction zone for work at the North Campus Chilled Water Plant.
Three new cooling towers, two chillers and several pumps will be added to the facility to allow for additional new and renovated buildings to be added to the campus chilled water system.
Signage will direct Berkey Creamery patrons around the Food Science Building to Bigler Road for access to the Creamery via the Curtin Road entrance. The area will be closed through at least May 2018. To view the planned sidewalk closure, visit the OPP construction map online.
