Anthem becomes newest member of IST’s Corporate Associates Program at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Anthem Inc., the largest for-profit global health insurance company in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, was recently announced as the newest member of the College of Information Sciences and Technology’s (IST) Corporate Associates Program. Anthem is the 14th business to join the program, which began in 2011.

The Corporate Associates Program provides opportunities for companies and organizations to connect with IST students and engage further with college and University resources by funding IST programs and student internships. Associates engage with IST students through annual career fairs, invitations to professional development activities, and opportunities to bring real-life scenarios from their organizations into the curriculum.

IST students connect with associates to benefit from their extensive networks of technology expertise, which often lead to internship and career opportunities. Students also benefit from mentoring sessions, field trips to facilities, and extensive interaction through student organizations.

Anthem, formerly WellPoint Health Networks, Inc., is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, serving members in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin and specialty plan members in other states.
