University Police attempting to identify suspect in Oct. 21 simple assault

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police are investigating a simple assault that occurred at 4:58 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, in football lot 24 prior to the Penn State-Michigan football game. An unknown male punched the victim during an argument. University Police are seeking to identify the pictured suspect, who is wearing a blue hat, white shirt and gray pants.

Anyone with information pertaining to the identity of the pictured suspect or who was a witness to the crime should contact Penn State University Police at 814-863-1111 or submit tips to Centre County CrimeStoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County CrimeStoppers.   • If you see someone getting victimized, get involved by calling University Police at 3-1111, 911 or directly by using an emergency phone.
  • Report suspicious persons immediately.
