UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Human Resources is reminding University employees of the 2017 Thanksgiving and December holiday close-down schedule.
The dates of the upcoming holidays are:
- Thanksgiving holiday is Nov. 23
- Friday, Nov. 24 is a University close-down day
- December holidays are Dec. 22 and Dec. 25-29, and Jan. 1, 2018
Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving holiday is on Thursday, Nov. 23. The following day, Friday, Nov. 24, is an official University close-down day. Refer to the online resource, Friday After Thanksgiving Closedown Guidance, for additional information.
December holiday close-down
The December holiday close-down is from the end of normal operations on Thursday, Dec. 21, through Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. University operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. The official University holidays during this period are Dec. 22 and Dec. 25-29, and Jan. 1, 2018.
