Maintenance work to impact traffic flow, parking availability at Nittany Deck

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Joint replacement work at the Nittany Parking Deck will impact traffic flow and parking availability for approximately one week beginning Monday, Oct. 9.

This work will require the closure of the up ramp between levels 1 and 2, which will result in a temporary loss of approximately 80 parking spaces. The work also will require a detour route within the deck to reach level 2, with the down ramp between level 2 and level 1 temporarily converted to accommodate two-way traffic. While directional signage will be in place to guide vehicles to upper-level access, drivers are asked to travel slowly and use extra caution while traveling through the deck next week.

With the reduction in available parking spaces, general visitor parking at the Nittany Deck will be limited next week, as parking will be prioritized for Green B permit holders and Nittany Lion Inn guests. Faculty/staff permit holders from other campus parking areas traveling to buildings near the Nittany Deck are urged to remain parked in their assigned areas and use alternative transportation options, such as CATA Loop and Link or the Campus Shuttle, to reach their destinations.
