UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Office of Planning and Assessment (OPA) will feature “A Conversation with the Provost” during the first installment of its new OPA Forum series, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. Nick Jones, executive vice president and provost of the University, will lead the discussion, to be held in Room 508 of Rider Building on the University Park campus. All interested faculty, staff, administrators and students are invited to attend.

As chair of the University Strategic Planning Council, Jones shepherded the development and completion of Penn State’s strategic plan for 2016-2020, titled “Our Commitment to Impact.” During this OPA Forum, he will spotlight the substantial work being done to implement the University-wide plan, including details of the proposal process and information about relevant initiatives that are being considered and, in some cases, already underway.

After a short presentation, audience members then will engage in “A Conversation with the Provost.” Participants will have ample time to provide feedback to and ask questions about the many proposals and initiatives being pursued as part of the multiyear strategic plan implementation process.

For more information and to register for this event, call the OPA at 814-863-8721 or email opa@psu.edu. Representatives of Penn State campuses interested in participating in this event via video conference also should contact the OPA in advance to discuss arrangements.
