South Asian Student Organization to host Garba Night Oct. 15

Cultural festival is free and open to the public

ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend’s South Asian Student Organization (SASO) will celebrate Garba Night, 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, in McGarvey Commons. Everyone is welcome.

Garba is a night of energetic and cultural dancing. The program will be a South Asian cultural festival which occurs in late September and early October. The festival includes traditional dancing, known as Garba, and authentic food. Students will be able to wear their traditional clothes and dance to Gujarati music. SASO students will be on-hand to teach attendees the basics of dancing Garba.
