— Andrew Armagost, who received his bachelor's degree in education and public policy in 2012 and a master's and doctorate in educational leadership in 2013 and 2016, respectively, was appointed to serve as the assistant executive director of the Senate Education Committee in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has held this position since January 2017.

— Jody Markely has been named the inaugural director of the Tichenor-Greer Scholars Program at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, where she will work with STEM scholars of color college-wide. Markley received a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1991 and a master's in curriculum and instruction in 2006, both from Penn State.
