Barkley on Hornung Award honor roll

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State running back Saquon Barkley added to his growing list of accolades for the 2017 season after being named to the Paul Hornung Award Week 2 Honor Roll. Barkley was one of five players honored by the Hornung Award, which is given to the most versatile player in major college football.

Barkley accounted for 183 all-purpose yards in the 33-14 win over the Panthers. He rushed 14 times for 88 yards and a touchdown to go along with four receptions for 45 yards and a score. Additionally, Barkley returned a pair of kicks for 50 yards. Last week, Barkley was the Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week and the Rose Bowl Big Ten Player of the Week after a stellar performance against Akron to open the season.
