UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence is offering a free online workshop for all new Penn State instructors, at all locations.
Good teaching involves planning, lots of it and at every level. Moderated by Cindy Decker Raynak, senior instructional designer, this self-directed workshop will provide new instructors with a brief introduction to the resources and strategies that are crucial to good teaching and planning.
New Instructor Orientation is offered at the start of each semester through Canvas, Penn State’s course management system. Participants will receive an email with Canvas access information after registering for the course.
The fall 2017 course is open from Monday, Aug. 14, through Wednesday, Sept. 20. The deadline to register for the workshop is noon on Sept. 20, and all assignments must be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22.
