University Health Services closed for patient care on Monday, July 24

Editor's Note: The maintenance issue in the Student Health Center involving low water pressure has been resolved. All UHS patient care services will resume as normal on Tuesday, July 25. 

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Due to an emergency maintenance issue at the Student Health Center involving low water pressure, University Health Services (UHS) will be closed for patient care on Monday, July 24.

The temporary shutdown will affect all medical services as well as clinical laboratory services, imaging services and physical therapy. The UHS pharmacy will continue to operate during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) also will remain open.

Patients with previously scheduled appointments are urged to reschedule by calling the UHS appointment line at 814-863-0774. In addition, students with Aetna Student Health Insurance are permitted to seek urgent or emergency care without a referral on July 24 only. Please note that routine charges, including copays, coinsurance and deductibles, still apply to all medical visits.
