Lockheed Martin joins IST's Corporate Associates Program

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Lockheed Martin, a global security and aerospace company, was recently announced as a new participant in the College of Information Sciences and Technology’s (IST) Corporate Associates Program at Penn State. The company joins 14 other organizations currently in the program.

The Corporate Associates Program provides opportunities for companies and organizations to connect with IST students and engage further with college and University resources by funding IST programs and student internships. Associates engage with IST students through annual career fairs, invitations to professional development activities, and opportunities to bring real-life scenarios from their organizations into the curriculum.

IST students connect with corporate associates to benefit from their extensive networks of technology expertise, which often lead to internship and career opportunities. Students also benefit from mentoring sessions, field trips to facilities, and extensive interaction through student organizations.

Lockheed Martin is engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The company is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, and employs approximately 126,000 people worldwide.
