UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Johanna Hall, assistant fencing coach at Penn State, will give a gallery talk at noon on Tuesday, June 13, in the Penn State All-Sports Museum’s fencing gallery.

Hall is in her fourth season as assistant coach with the men’s and women’s fencing team. A native of France, Hall received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State. She fenced foil for the Nittany Lions from 1984 to 1988 and was team captain her junior and senior years. Hall compiled a 160-37 record during her Penn State career, finishing with an 81 percent winning percentage. During her senior year, she placed fourth at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals and 19th at the NCAA championships. In addition to coaching, Hall assists Head Coach Wes Glon with the administrative duties of the team and focuses her efforts on compliance, recruiting, alumni relations and community outreach.

Gallery talks are held in the Penn State All-Sports Museum, which is located on the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium opposite the Bryce Jordan Center. A long canopy leading from Curtin Road marks the museum entrance. There is a small kiosk lot across the street from the museum for visitor parking, as well as in Lot 44 for those with an appropriate pass. All gallery talks are live-streamed on the museum’s Facebook page for those unable to attend in person. This event is free and open to the public.
