Happy Valley Jam parking details announced

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Country music and "The Voice" superstar Blake Shelton is headlining this summer's Happy Valley Jam in Beaver Stadium, and parking details have been announced for the historic event.

Set for Saturday, July 8, Happy Valley Jam will be the inaugural concert in Beaver Stadium, home of the Nittany Lion football team. This historic concert, which begins at 4 p.m., also will feature Chris Young, Big & Rich, David Ray and Adley Stump.

Parking sales for the event will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, by calling 1-800-NITTANY or online here.

There is a limit of five parking permits per account. Happy Valley Jam concert tickets and parking permits will be mailed starting in early May.

Happy Valley Jam parking availability and pricing:


  • Advance purchase in preferred lot - $40
  • Advance purchase in general parking (Yellow lot) - $25
  • Event day purchase in general parking (Yellow lot) - $30, cash only
  • Cars accompanying an RV - $60


  • Advance purchase for the overnight RV lot - $120
  • Friday purchase for the overnight RV lot - $120, cash only
  • Event day purchase for the RV lot (includes Saturday night) - $60, cash only
  • Cars accompanying an RV - $60

All RV parking, including ADA patrons, will be in the overnight RV lot. The overnight RV lot will open at noon on Friday, July 7, and all RVs must depart the overnight RV lot by noon on Sunday, July 9. Space is limited. Car parking will be adjacent to the overnight RV lot.

Bus parking is limited and tailgating with bus parking is only in designated areas.

A state-issued handicap placard is required in conjunction with the pass to access ADA lots. There will be an ADA shuttle from the overnight RV lot to Beaver Stadium. All RV parking will be in the overnight RV lot, including ADA patrons.

Advance parking sales will end on Friday, June 23, in order to allow time for passes to be mailed and received. Advance parking sales after June 23 can be made in-person at the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office (open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays).

Parking and ticket information, including a parking map that identifies the ADA and various lots, can be found at HappyValleyJam.com. Concert suite holders will receive parking permits for the Porter North lot near Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Shelton was selected as the Country Music Association's Male Vocalist of the Year a record-tying five consecutive times from 2010-14. He earned CMA Entertainer of the Year honors in 2012 and CMA Album of the Year in 2013, in addition to numerous other awards and nominations, including the Grammys and Academy of Country Music. Shelton has had 17 consecutive No. 1 singles, with 22 overall atop the charts, during his superlative career.

In 2011, Shelton joined NBC's hit music competition series, "The Voice," as a coach. Shelton is in his sixth year on the popular program.

Happy Valley Jam tickets are available at HappyValleyJam.com, 1-800-NITTANY (8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays) and in-person at the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office (10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays). Tickets, including on-field seating, will be reserved with the exception of a general admission area directly in front of the stage.

The Happy Valley Jam will include beer sales at concession stands throughout Beaver Stadium, along with wine sales available in the premium areas. More information will be announced.

Fans planning to attend Happy Valley Jam should note that the State College Spikes will face the Auburn Doubledays at noon on July 8 in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, located adjacent to Beaver Stadium.
