Penn State COIL accepting research grant funding proposals through May 12

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Center for Online Innovation in Learning (COIL) is now accepting proposals for its spring 2017 round of research grant funding.

COIL’s Research Initiation Grant Program provides seed funding to Penn State researchers whose projects have the potential to enhance teaching and learning through online innovations. It is expected that most of the project teams funded by COIL will use the preliminary evidence to pursue external funding for larger-scale studies.

The deadline for submissions for the spring 2017 round of funding is May 12.

The mission of COIL is to engage Penn State’s extensive research enterprise across multiple disciplines to improve learning through online innovations at and beyond Penn State.
