UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office for General Education recently launched a new website highlighting the importance of General Education as a key part of Penn State’s curriculum and the program’s ability to help students build strong educational foundations, explore academic interests, and engage in integrative learning.
Launched on March 3, the site was built around two key ideas: providing a home for General Education resources for faculty and expanding awareness of General Education requirements and opportunities for the Penn State community. New requirements will go into effect for students starting in the summer of 2018.
For faculty, the website will offer information on new initiatives that support faculty who teach in General Education, especially those who are interested in contributing to the new Integrative Studies courses. The site will also serve as a home for information as the new General Education program implementation proceeds.
