Finance Speaker Series to return to Penn State Behrend Feb. 13

The assistant treasurer and assistant controller for Marquette Savings Bank will discuss the challenges of operating a community bank when the Finance Speaker Series returns to Penn State Behrend, The Erie College on Monday, Feb. 13.

TJ Hesch’s presentation, “The Role of Community Banking in Today’s Economy,” will be held at 7 p.m. in room 180 of the Jack Burke Research and Economic Development Center, 5101 Jordan Road, Erie, Pennsylvania. The presentation is free and open to the public, and free parking will be available in the deck located behind Burke Center, off Technology Drive.

Hesch is the assistant treasurer and assistant controller for Marquette Savings Bank in Erie. A 2007 Penn State Behrend graduate, Hesch has worked for Marquette since 2009 and has seen the bank grow to an $840 million asset size. During his presentation, he will discuss Marquette’s history and also detail the unique realities facing community banks. A question-and-answer session will follow his talk.
