UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 2017 Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology is pleased to announce that Penn State President Eric J. Barron will join the Symposium for a lunchtime “fireside chat.”

The Symposium will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. The chat will feature President Barron discussing the Transforming Education portion of the University's strategic plan. This is an exciting opportunity for faculty and staff to have their burning questions about teaching and learning at Penn State answered by our University President. Interested members of the University community can submit their questions online prior to the event.

President Barron’s Fireside Chat is part of an expanding and diverse program for the 2017 Symposium that includes Keynote Speaker Sir Ken Robinson; the Open Innovation Challenge; and breakout sessions on a broad range of educational technology topics. If you have a presentation in mind that demonstrates valuable and innovative usage of technology to support teaching and learning, please submit a session proposal by Nov. 28.

To hear President Barron’s answers to the questions, be sure to register for the Symposium. The Symposium is an annual event bringing together people and ideas that transform education. The event is of no charge to attendees.
