Campus community to participate in National Alliance on Mental Illness Walk

YORK, Pa. — Penn State York students, faculty, and staff will once again participate in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk. The event is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. This is the sixth year Penn State York has put together a group of walkers for the event.

The 2016 NAMI Walk in York will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 998 Vander Avenue in York. The Penn State York team will gather on campus at 9:30 a.m. by the soccer field. NAMI is dedicated to bringing the topic of mental illness out of the shadows. The agency offers educational programs and support groups for those living with mental illness and their families.
