Fans reminded of security process for Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State football team faces off against Big Ten West foe Minnesota Saturday for the Governor's Victory Bell at 3:30 p.m. in Beaver Stadium. Saturday is also All-U Day and the annual Blue Band Jam. Doors will open for the Blue Band Jam at the Bryce Jordan Center at noon.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and reminded that Penn State is providing security screening for all guests this season at entry gates using metal detection wands. With this security measure in place, all public gates, including the ADA and student gates, will open two hours prior to kickoff to provide ample time for all fans to pass through security.

Patrons will be asked to remove items from their pockets upon entering Beaver Stadium when the gates open at 1:30 p.m.

With the potential for wet weather, fans are reminded that umbrellas are prohibited from entering the stadium. A list of prohibited items can be found on page 15 of the Stadium Game Day Guide.

The Penn State Blue Band and Penn State Athletics will host the third annual "Blue Band Jam" prior to the Minnesota game. A select number of high schools will perform at the Bryce Jordan Center alongside the Blue Band, the event is free and open to the public. Saturday is also the annual All-University Day will include involvement of student representatives during halftime.
