Parents and Families Weekend registration now open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – On Oct. 14-16, Penn State will welcome parents and family members to share in the Happy Valley experience. From grabbing cones at the creamery to snapping photos at the Nittany Lion Shrine, the best Penn State traditions can be even sweeter when shared with family.

The first 3,000 families to register before Sept. 30 will receive a Parents & Families Weekend welcome packet at check in at the HUB-Robeson Center. One packet per family will be provided.

The weekend’s events begin midday Friday and come to a close on Sunday afternoon. Those attending are encouraged to download the Penn State Life app to access the event schedule from a mobile device.

Some events to look forward to include family photos at the Nittany Lion Shrine, Off-Campus Housing Fair, Old Main Bell Tower and campus bus tours, United in Song a cappella concert, Physics Magic Show, guided tours of facilities across campus and around State College and open houses hosted by each academic college.
