UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Looking for dinner plans Wednesday? The Blue & White Society will serve up all-you-can-eat pancakes to benefit Relay For Life of Penn State.

Pancakes for a Cure will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center on Penn State’s University Park campus. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Hintz Family Alumni Center and will also be available at the door for $4.99.

Dinner includes delicious pancakes prepared by Brown Dog Catering, complete with a topping bar. The event is open to all students, faculty, staff, community members and families.

“This is our first time doing this event, and we’re excited to expand our fundraising efforts this year,” said Katelyn Sides, director of Relay For Life with the Blue & White Society. “Last year, we were the third overall fundraiser for relay, and we hope to improve our total even more.”

Each year, more than 4 million people in more than 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement, which culminates in a walk-a-thon. Throughout the year, Penn State students and members of the State College community work to raise funds and promote awareness for the American Cancer Society.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with societies at campuses across the Commonwealth. With more than 9,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year while also participating in events such as THON, Homecoming, Relay For Life and various community service programs.
