Interactive comedy seeks heroes to help save the world

Top Secret Agent Karen has a mission (to save the world, of course). But this mission takes two, so she will need to find a new partner. Who will be chosen?

Created and performed by Sandi Carroll with her New York-based company, Logic Limited. Ltd., the performance makes its New York premiere after being developed in residence at Penn State’s Arts and Design Research Incubator (ADRI).

"Mission: Implausible!" utilizes Facebook, Twitter and Skype to engage the audience in Agent Karen’s effort to save the world. Audience members contribute their intelligence to help save the day, and one lucky person is chosen to be the heroine’s hero and spends most of the show onstage having his or her courage and humanity proven in surprising and hilarious ways.

“With a deadpan wit and that eye-catching outfit, Secret Agent Karen is a comic force.”

The Baltimore Sun.

Carroll has performed her show in Pittsburgh’s annual Arts & Technology Festival (CREATE), as well as at the University of Virginia, the Baltimore Theatre Project, Single Carrot Theatre and Penn State’s Downtown Theatre. An actor and physical comedienne, Carroll's work focuses on the impact of learning traditional physical comedic techniques, or as she calls it, the “discipline of play,” on creative decision-making, teaching and learning.  Along with teaching an interdisciplinary course in which students learn to apply “the discipline of play” to fields ranging from science education to health and human development, Carroll continues to develop her web series, “The Heroes Next Door” in which Top Secret Agent Karen interviews everyone from the man-on-the-street to Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Kirsten Kelly about their inner hero.  See more here: https://www.facebook.com/MissionImplausible/videos

“I created Mission: Implausible! because I wanted to surprise an audience member with the experience of going on a fun and funny hero’s journey. But it’s been the audience who surprises me every night. I put the ending of my show in my audience’s hands, and they always teach me something new about the human dilemma, and how and why we choose to take action.”

Carroll has appeared on Broadway and off and in independent and major studio films, and has written, performed and produced her own shows on both coasts and internationally.
