Free Harrisburg med student clinic holds two fundraising events

LionCare, the Penn State College of Medicine student-run free clinic at the Bethesda Mission in downtown Harrisburg, has two upcoming events.

-- The inaugural Paws for a Cause 5k Run/Walk will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at 30 Hope Drive, on the campus of the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine. The event will include food, door prizes, T-shirts, and more. Register at www.racesonline.com/events/lioncare-paws-for-a-cause.

-- An inaugural four-person scramble golf tournament is set for Sunday, Sept. 11. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. at Dauphin Highlands, with dinner and awards following. Registrations fees are $100 for an individual golfer and $30 for nongolfers to attend the dinner. To register, contact lioncarefundraising@gmail.com
