Nittany Lion quintet headed to U.S. U-20 camp

CHICAGO -- Five members of the Penn State women's soccer team are headed to a U.S. U-20 women's national team training camp in Efland, North Carolina, June 15-23. Penn State leads the 23-member U.S. U-20 WNT training camp roster with five representatives.

Rose Chandler, Maddie Elliston, Ellie Jean, Emily Ogle and Kaleigh Riehl will head to Efland, North Carolina, with the U.S. U-20 WNT.

Penn State women's soccer has been well-represented throughout the 2016 calendar year on the U.S. U-20 WNT as Chandler, Elliston, Ogle and Riehl will be making their fourth appearance at a U.S. U-20 WNT training camp. The four Nittany Lions attended U.S. U-20 training camps in Carson, California, (January) and in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, (April). The quartet along with Jean traveled to La Manga, Spain, for the 2016 La Manga Tournament in March.

Most recently, the Nittany Lion quintet were on the U-20 U.S. WNT roster that traveled to Papua New Guinea for a training camp and a pair of matches, May 21-June 1. In prep for the U-20 Women's World Cup this fall, the U.S. U-20 WNT played the U-20 WNT from Japan (May 27) and Papua New Guinea (May 30).
