New staff members and a faculty promotion announced

Penn State Lehigh Valley welcomes nine new staff members

Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced the following new staff hires:

Patti Frey has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the director of campus development and alumni relations. Frey earned a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in marketing from Temple University. She previously served as director of development for major gifts at Drexel University’s College of Engineering in Philadelphia. Frey currently resides in Harleysville, Pennsylvania.

Jessie Heimann has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the director of University Relations. Heimann earned a master of science in corporate public relations from Boston University and a bachelor of arts in public relations from York College of Pennsylvania. She previously served as senior director of marketing communications at WLVT-PBS39 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Heimann currently resides in Neffs, Pennsylvania.

Angela Jeon-Huh, has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the global education and inclusive excellence consultant and adjunct professor. Jeon-Huh earned a doctorate in educational leadership and management from Drexel University, as well as a master of leadership development and a bachelor of science in international politics, both from Penn State. She previously served as an assistant dean at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Jeon-Huh currently resides in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

Tara Koller has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as an academic adviser. Koller earned a master of science in higher education from Drexel University and a bachelor of arts in English from Penn State. She previously served as a communications and marketing coordinator for Enrollment Management and Student Success at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Koller currently resides in Telford, Pennsylvania.

Christopher S. Landino has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as director of Academic Advising and Career Services. Landino earned a master of education from East Stroudsburg University and a bachelor of arts in corporate communications from Elon University. He previously served as director of Career Services at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Landino currently resides in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Kate Morgan was named director of Virtual Education at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Morgan earned a master of arts in interactive design and game development from Savannah College of Art and Design and a bachelor of arts in journalism and public relations from Mississippi University for Women. She had previously served as director of University Relations at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Morgan currently resides in Fogelsville, Pennsylvania.

Diane Lewis McAloon was named alumni relations coordinator at Penn State Lehigh Valley. McAloon earned a master of education in adult education from Penn State and a bachelor of arts in mass communication from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as assistant director of continuing education at Penn State Lehigh Valley. McAloon currently resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Joy Buckley Reed has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the campus events coordinator. Reed earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Tennessee State University. She previously served as an HRIS analyst at Avago Technologies. Reed currently resides in Orefield, Pennsylvania.

Heather S. Amatore has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time evening receptionist. Amatore earned an associate of science in biological science and an associate of arts and science in medical laboratory technology, both from Northampton Community College. She previously served as a medical laboratory technician-ASCP certified at Easton Hospital. Amatore currently resides in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.

Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced the following faculty promotion:

Michelle Kaschak received promotion to senior instructor in English. She has been at Penn State Lehigh Valley for 13 years; nine years full time and four years part time. Kaschak earned a master of arts in English from Shippensburg University, a master of science in education with specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Wilkes University, as well as a bachelor of arts in English from Chestnut Hill College. Kaschak currently resides in Fogelsville, Pennsylvania.
