UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize six Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University and in doing so embody Excellence, one of the Penn State Values. Thank you to:

Philip Frum, in the Office of Research Protections, whose nominator wrote: "Philip, as well as his colleagues in the Institutional Review Board office, helped us quickly address a few challenges that almost resulted in a faculty member not receiving external funding. Their responsiveness and flexibility helped us work through a complex situation quickly. Thank you!"

Sherri Graven, Nadine O'Leary and Greta Panasiti, at Information Technology Services on the University Park campus, whose nominator wrote: "No matter how high their piles of requests or how busy their phones are, the folks in account services are always so patient, kind and helpful. Specifically Sherri Graven, Nadine O’Leary and Greta Panasiti have been life savers for us at the Penn State Berks IT help desk time and time again over the years."

Terri Mando, at Penn State Behrend, whose nominator wrote: "Terri is responsible for training all Penn State Behrend faculty and staff with advising responsibilities on the new LionPath system. That's over 250 people! She spent countless hours preparing and more than 50 hours presenting, not including the 20 hours of open lab sessions she hosted. She is a powerhouse!"

Gail Fetterman, at Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "Gail is always willing to go the extra mile for the staff and present, past and future students in the Practical Nursing Program at Penn State Hazleton. She is always pleasant, smiling and inviting. She does all this while completing her everyday duties. She truly deserves respect and recognition."
